Theo Dela Cruz

YAC Vice Chair

Partner Cities

  • Detroit 2026

Theo Dela Cruz is the Youth Advisory Council Vice Chair, and a proud Aspen Challenge: San Diego ‘24 alum. Now a freshman at University of California, Berkeley, Theo is double majoring in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS) and Industrial Engineering & Operations Research (IEOR), bringing both technical expertise and systems-level thinking to his leadership.

He describes Aspen Challenge as “a rare opportunity for young people to take their ideas and turn them into real, tangible solutions” — a belief that continues to shape his work on YAC.

A true Capricorn at heart, Theo leads with discipline, ambition, and clear goals. Beyond the classroom, he’s eager to visit Boston for its history, world-class universities, museums — and maybe to catch a Boston Celtics game. He’s also fully on board with the pibbles trend (though French bulldogs still have his heart).

Theo’s vision for YAC is to build a centralized hub where Aspen Challenge alumni can stay connected, discover opportunities, find mentors, and collaborate on meaningful projects long after Challenge Forum ends.
