Elmer Roldan is the Education Program Officer at the United Way of Greater Los Angeles, where he manages advocacy and policy work and leads the Communities for Los Angeles Student Success (CLASS) coalition of over fifty organizations dedicated to ensuring that all students receive an equitable education. In addition, Roldan co-manages a $2 million dollar portfolio of grants allocated to organizations working to improve high school graduation rates in Los Angeles County. Prior to the United Way, Roldan served in the Office of past LAUSD School Board President, Mónica García, where he acted as liaison between community members, principals, school personnel in over 150 schools and executive staff at LAUSD.
