Dr. LaShyra “Lash” Nolen is a writer, speaker, and physician activist committed to the healing and liberation of all marginalized peoples. She is an internal medicine resident doctor at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where her work centers on antiracism in medicine. Named to “Forbes 30 Under 30” in Healthcare, Nolen is a nationally renowned leader in health equity with her work featured in Teen Vogue and NPR, among others. She is the Founding Executive Director of We Got Us, a student-led grassroots organization that works to increase access to health education and healing for Boston’s medically underserved populations. Nolen graduated cum laude from Harvard Medical School where she became the first Black woman elected as student council president, and also obtained a Master’s in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. She’s also a 2025 New England Golden Gloves boxing champion.
