I challenge you to design a cross-sector system that gets fresh, nutrient dense food to everyone in your neighborhood during times of instability by using local resources like urban farms, grocery stores, restaurants, and/or existing city programs and community groups.

Amanda Brezzell

I challenge you to make hunger visible to decision-makers and neighbors in your community, and to use your creativity and your voice to design a solution that improves equitable access to nutritious, affordable food.

Food Access & Nutrition Solutions:

Amanda Brezzell

The Grove

We are The Grove. And here, we grow our community, one fruit at a time. Through caring for the land and working together, we create a place where people connect, learn, and nourish one another.

The Pink Planters

We'd like to see a community where unsold and extra bounty makes its way to grateful tables, because food is meant to be shared.

Midtown Market Movement

To create a connected Detroit metro community where youth, families, and educators have access to essential resources that support post-secondary success, and where every resident can easily access reliable, affordable, and nutritious food.

Full Future Initiative

Our vision is a model in Hyde Park where no one is hungry that can then be adapted to different neighborhoods in Boston. Everyone will have the nutritional, affordable, and accessible food they need to not only survive, but thrive, and our community would grow closer together.

Radiant Roots

We envision a community where no family feels invisible in their struggle with hunger, and where students, neighbors, and leaders actively work together to ensure equitable access to healthy food.

NouriB

Creating accessible and visible options for students and families with food insecurities through school based food banks.

Learning on Empty

We envision a future where hunger is treated as a health issue — and no student learns on empty.

Feed Every Soul

Our mission is to fight food insecurity in our communities by providing families with access to nutritious meals, promoting health and well-being, and inspiring neighbors to support and uplift one another.

I challenge you to bring more good food to your community by connecting with resources or partners to improve access to nutritious food options in your neighborhood.

Matt Haffenreffer

CHCP Feeds

We envision that our partnerships will help us to consistently provide better communities access to fresh, healthy, and nutritious food. Creating sustainable resources for families for years to come.

Where's the Food?

We envision bringing healthy and nutritious food options to our community through the creation of our school pantry. In order to combat food insecurity in East New York, Brooklyn, we envision all community members to be able to access needed food so that we may create a more equitable and food secure community.

Healthy Addition

As firm believers in the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, we at A-Tech HS envision that our long-lasting partnerships with businesses in our neighborhood, along with the establishment of a food garden, will supply our community with access to nutritious foods needed to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

I challenge you to develop a solution that addresses both physical food access and food affordability in an effort to reduce food insecurity and improve equity in your community.

NOLA GoGreen

We envision a future where food can be easily obtained in a wide variety of communities that face complications and where we can keep everyone safe and fed.
