At Project White-Top our vision is to turn an urban space into a thriving green area where people can come together, have fun, connect with nature, and improve lives in our community. We believe that with sustainable solutions and community collaboration, we can create a space that makes both the environment and society flourish by implementing a white-top basketball court because white reflects heat rather than absorbs it. In theory, it will reduce the heat island effect and create a cooler space for players, setting the bar for hopefully many basketball courts to come creating a sense of awareness about the heat island effect in the process.
