SHEILA FUENTE is a founding trustee and former chair of the South Palm Beach County Jewish Women’s Foundation, a philanthropic collective of women providing grants to qualified organizations whose programs benefit the lives of girls and women. She and her husband David have established the Sheila & David Fuente Graduate Program in Cancer Biology at the University of Miami. Earlier, Fuente worked as a speech pathologist, specializing in language development, for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Fuente continued her passion for education when she relocated to Boca Raton, Florida, as a trustee of the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, which are day care centers for low income families. She later chaired the board. Fuente divides her time between Boca Raton, Florida, and Aspen, Colorado.
