Megan Davis is the development and outreach coordinator for Groundwork Dallas, where she writes grant proposals and works closely with youth programming. She started as an environmental educator at the organization after participating in a Saturday Volunteer Day. Davis’s lifelong passion for nature and the outdoors and interest in conservation have led her down many interesting paths. She worked as a camp counselor at a nature-based children’s summer camp, completed a sustainability fellowship with the Student Conservation Association, and most recently began training to become a North Texas Master Naturalist. A skilled nonprofit professional, her experiences also include working with refugees and immigrants and on issues related to food security and sustainability. Davis received her MPA in public and nonprofit management from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014.
