Latishia Sparks is the programs and partnerships coordinator for Kentucky Educational Development Corporation. In this role, she works with public school administrators and teachers in Kentucky districts to facilitate professional learning experiences, support existing initiatives, and create and implement new educational partnerships and programs. Sparks spent 10 years as a high school English teacher before moving into district and state level instructional specialist/support roles. During the last five years, her work has become focused on using technology as a way to connect Eastern Kentucky classrooms, including students and teachers, to content experts, learning experiences, and partners across the US and around the globe. She believes that being an educator means preparing students to find their place in the ever-changing world and is continually looking for new and innovative ways to make this happen.
