Eric L. Motley, Ph.D., is executive vice president and corporate secretary of the Aspen Institute. He served as vice president and executive director of National Programs for two years prior and managing director of the Henry Crown Fellows Program from 2007-2014. Motley was also the executive director of the Aspen-Rockefeller Foundation’s Commission to Reform the Federal Appointments Process to evaluate the federal government’s vetting and clearance procedures. Before joining the Aspen Institute, Motley was director of the US Department of State’s Office of International Visitors.
