Darius Lee Smith serves as the Director of the Denver Anti-Discrimination Office where he facilitates resolution of discrimination complaints by utilizing the indigenous form of “Peacemaking”: resolving conflict/disputes by using common sense principals and encouraging ethical settlements. Smith was the official Mayoral liaison to the American Indian community (2004 to 2011) and now staffs the Denver American Indian Commission. He prides himself on being a civil rights advocate and is quick to help individuals who need help navigating governmental administrative systems.
