Ashley Butler is the COO for The 18th Ward Sports Club, where she strives to build a stronger New Orleans community by designing and implementing strategies, programs, and projects that propel the organization and city forward. Butler manages The 18th Ward’s Homeschool Physical Education program, the She’s Got Game initiative as well as the Workforce Development team. Her operations staff provides support for finance, development, and program teams while keeping in mind the vision – increase access and opportunities for youth, and create equitable workforce development outcomes in the greater New Orleans area.
In 2015, Butler was granted the Social Impact Award for her positive contribution to the workplace, and in 2016 was named Employee of the Year for her above and beyond mentality. She loves working for The 18th Ward because of the impact it has on her family. Being a mother of four, she specifically chose an employer that values family participation. Three of her four children currently participate in multiple 18th Ward programs, while her 2 year old plays on the sidelines. Butler is the wife of her supportive husband of 15 years. She loves to write, paint, sing, and play sports.
