Andrea Barela

Andrea Barela has worked in the Denver nonprofit community her entire career. Barela started at a small, progressive foundation, the Chinook Fund, where she was a bookkeeper and office manager for two years. From there she moved to the Denver Foundation. Today Barela works as the Development Director for NEWSED Community Development Corporation and has been with this organization for seven years. At NEWSED, she is responsible for fundraising initiatives and special events, marketing, public relations, business support office coordination, and program and donor development.
