Kelem Butts is director of charitable operations for AT&T, overseeing the operation of the company’s educational contribution programs, including its signature initiative, AT&T Aspire. This $450 million investment aims to help more students graduate from high school ready for careers and college. Butts has been with AT&T for 17 years, and prior to his current role worked in the Sustainability Operations group and in product management. Before joining AT&T, he spent ten years as a sales professional with Procter & Gamble, Abbott Labs, and Mallinckrodt.
He is actively involved in Uptown, his neighborhood in Dallas, and is a board member of Uptown Dallas, Inc., the public improvement district company that manages and enhances the public realm. Butts is also actively involved as a volunteer with Wesleyan University, his alma mater, where he earned a BA. He has an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
