Isaac Yablo

Isaac Yablo serves as the director of the Office of Violence Prevention and senior advisor for Community Safety. He is responsible for convening and coordinating citywide departments and community organizations on behalf of the mayor to advance a public health approach to violence prevention. 

Most recently, Yablo served as the policy and research director for the Mayor’s Office of Black Male Advancement. In that role, he worked with the executive director to track, analyze, and make recommendations on local, state, and federal public policies and legislation affecting Black men and boys in Boston. He also helped other city departments ensure equitable access for Black men and boys in their programs and policies.

Yablo is a scholar, researcher, and social justice advocate focused on issues affecting underserved and marginalized populations within the Greater Boston area. With extensive experience providing strategic assistance to community and government agencies, he has had a direct impact on efforts to improve quality of life issues for residents across the commonwealth.
