Annyah Cush is a CEO, scholar, and mentor born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., influenced by Guyanese roots. Known to many as “the teen whisperer,” her message to youth is: “Once it is something that you are actually interested in, and you’re willing to make a change in the world whether you receive something or not, without a doubt you’ll have no problem with the solution.”
As a past Aspen Challenge participant and graduate of Brooklyn Community Arts and Media High School, Cush has taken her love of psychology and entrepreneurship to pursue her passions by enrolling as a behavioral health science major and starting a nonprofit with her mother, It Takes A Village where she speaks to teens about entrepreneurship, mental health and helps guide them to their purpose.
Whether serving as a NATO Youth Ambassador, educating young women on hair care, or studying for her next psychology exam, Cush’s commitment and dedication to advancing her local and national community is a prime example of the power of young people utilizing their voices to impact change.
