Ava Kinsey

Ava Tiye Kinsey is the Director of Education at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Her love for teaching was instilled in her by her mother, Katherine McMillan, who was a respected teacher and guidance counselor. 

Kinsey is a graduate of Howard University’s Africana Studies Department. She is originally from Dallas, Texas, and currently lives in New Jersey with her husband and son.
