David Fulton is the director of the Denver and Rocky Mountain States office of Facing History and Ourselves, an organization committed to helping middle and high school students link the moral choices of the past to the choices confronting our democracy today. Earlier, he was the assistant director of Denver Public Schools’ Office of Character and School Culture, where he and his colleagues worked with dozens of schools in DPS to promote student character and academic rigor. Partly based on that work, he co-authored Building an Intentional School Culture: Excellence in Academics and Character. He spent his post-doctoral fellowship in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he worked on a forgiveness project.
