He has helped Internet giants Facebook, Google, YouTube, and MySpace ensure that everyone online can get help if they are in suicidal crisis. Additionally, Gandin Le has helped launch the Suicide Prevention Resource Center, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the Veterans Crisis Center, CrisisChat.org, and Crisis Text Line. His white paper “Using New Media for Suicide Prevention,” for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, is national government’s first inquiry into online activity around suicide and suicide prevention. Naomi Wolf wrote the bestselling book The End of America: A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot for Gandin Le, whom she calls “a born activist, a natural grassroots leader and teacher.”
